My training experience with Angelin Wong I started training with Angelin about 15 months ago. I have always been quite athletic and a committed runner. What I was looking for was a trainer who would keep me fit in a balanced way and could help me build core running strength - resistance, endurance, strength. Angelin devised a highly personalized program around my objectives.

I also feel that Angelin's academic background in physical training helps her develop programs that are more effective and safe than what I would otherwise get. I believe the safety aspect is important; sports injuries can be super bad.
A long story short: I am now training for the Singapore Marathon with Angelin and have a sensibly ambitious target ... I feel quite confident that we'll get there.

Mentioned in my previous testimonial dated back in Feb’10 whereby I experienced 3kg weight loss and strengthened my knees and joints,
I’ve achieved another weight drop of 1.6kg despite some “turbulences” in between months by mid-Jul. Thus I had reached my target goal of total 5kg weight loss in 8 months!
Although I’ve reduced my PT sessions with Angelin from twice a week to once a week recently, I still managed to maintain this new weight till today (ie. For 2 months), with the interval cardio exercises and fitness aerobic dance created by Angelin. She switched the programs accordingly to suit my current fitness status, and handled well to my special requests from time to time.
She doesn’t mind to go to the extend to guide me through all my queries that I found from magazines/fitness books, and teaches me new exercises with alternatives that fits me. She also recommended kettlebell weight to me, and now we are learning exercises performed with kettlebell. Never too boring to have PT with Angelin!

Basically before I met Angelin I was trying to loose weight for a long time, and I just needed some help to loose the few extra kilograms that I had, at that time I was 64 kg, and my goal was around 60 kg.
After the 2 months of training, I not only have learnt a lot about training, and over all health and a healthy lifestyle, but I’ve also lost 6 kg, and now weight 58kg! It wasn’t easy, and with seeing Angie twice a week and doing cardio on my own as well I’ve finally reached a point that I’m very happy with the
way I look and my fitness level, which I never was before! I also now have more muscle in my hands, and a better idea of what muscles are where and what exercises target those certain muscles. I must say that one of the things that I definitely take away from this is the knowledge it has provided me, and also the fact that loosing weight is not that hard once you get your mind on it.

Due to my job commitment, I’ve to attend dinner entertainment which make weight management difficult for me, especially in the area of abs. I decided to sign up the PT sessions with Angelin’s coaching.
My main objectives are: (i) to flatten my abs; (ii) to increase stamina; (iii) to tone up my body shape.
After my 1st package of 10 sessions, I’m able to run better and longer;
my abs also flatten a little and my strength improved (ie. Can do more crunches and standard push ups). These results motivated me to continue with a bigger package with Angelin, to achieve a new goal: Bulk up.
I like to thank Angelin for her patience, motivation and professional cum friendly coachng during the training. I really look forward to every PT sessions!

When I trained by myself in the gym, I found my progress to be slow. My techniques were wrong and I found myself reading the newspaper after a few exercises. Now I exercise with Angelin and do more exercises. Her nutrition advice is also helpful.
By a combination of good diet and exercise, my body fat has decreased and hit a low of 20% at one point compared to 23% when I started.
I also can do 32 sit ups in one minute which would allow a 25 year old to pass the IPPT test. I now can do 4 pull-ups when I could not even do one when I started with Angelin. (6 months time)
Overall, I feel healthier and fitter. I can now walk faster, go up steep steps without panting, and also look trimmer!

Before joining Angelin’s PT, I have pain in the left knee when I run, when I squat, I need to grab onto support to stand up, could barely run 1 km.
I looked like a pear – heavy legs, with a shapeless torso & skinny arms despite being slightly underweight I felt lethargic and unable to concentrate on work
What I wanted from my PT sessions: increase stamina & strength, balance out my frame, gain overall muscles tone.
After 7 months training with Angelin, I can run 6-7km without dying (had not run >2km for 8 years). Ran 10km at Standard Chartered Marathon, and am hoping to run a half marathon next year. Angelin has been very supportive and she tries to run with me when I do in the evening after work. I feel more energetic and am able to concentrate for long hours at work. My legs are slimmer, and I have much more upper body’s strength as well as definition.

A typical Chinese male in my early thirties at a height of 1.78, I have never been too keen on exercising or involve in sports. This had however changed a year ago when I was being marketed to join a gym. My initial thought was to join the gym just to swim leisurely as it is near my workplace. I had always wondered why people did weight training and running on the treadmills!!
As a new member to the gym, I was put through an initial fitness test and to my horror, I was extremely unfit! (can’t even do a decent reps of standard push up) The consultant who had then marketed me to join the gym happened to switch her job role to become a personal trainer, encouraged me to take up fitness training more seriously, and demonstrated to me the benefits of being fit for my overall well being.
I started to run on the treadmill (still not liking it much) and use weights more effectively, just to build up my fitness to an acceptable level. My trainer then showed me which machines and exercises affected which muscles and corrected my posture, as I did not realize that I had a bad posture till then.
After all the proper guidance and trainings, I am now able to stand and walk with a better posture, and carry myself with confidence. I feel fitter, more energetic and less lethargic even with lesser sleep. Most importantly, I learned to appreciate exercising and enjoy the process of changes to my physical and mental, without compromising much to my favourite food. Ultimately, I gained muscle mass and reduced body fat.

We trained with Angelin once a week since Sept08, and it was our 1st time doing exercises at the current age of 60+. Our 1st experience was good, and we were given simple exercises and guidance to ensure we were doing them in a safe manner.
After that 1st session, we looked forward to every training session without fail. Angelin always ensure we practiced correct breathing and doing all exercises in correct techniques. She always checked our heart rate and
ensure we feel ok. She progressed us with higher intensity and endurance trainings, which helped us improved our stamina. Believed it or not, I was able to run a 2km run race at my age of 69 (Suburban Run) for the first time, with Angelin running with me on race day! Till to-date, my past shoulder injury was no longer a hindrance and I’m able to lift and rotate without pain.
As for my wife, who was over-weight and can’t even do >5mins cardio, was now able to do up to one hour and performed crunches and squat. Her back, arms, thighs and hips had reduced in size, and had down-graded her clothing’s size.

The plan for a skiing trip during Dec 2010 was a test of my fitness, after not being skiing for the past years. Hence I told Angelin to focus on getting me strong and fit for this trip.
We only managed to have once-a-week training. The training program comprised of cardiovascular, full body strengthening and lower body sports specific exercises. With months of preparation, I was able to enjoy the skiing trip! It was more enjoyable and my fitness lasted longer than
ever, as I was able to skii for consecutive days compared to previous trips!
